STATUS

Oceanic. Monotypic.

OVERVIEW

The first two records were inland of this Southern Ocean wanderer. Since then new individuals have occurred on three occasions in Wales and ten in Scotland, two being in the Northern Isles. In England fifteen have been recorded in the south-west area and fourteen from east coast locations.

After spending two days on the Yorkshire coast in 2020, this individual returned in 2021 to spend 89 days there and repeated the stay in 2022 with 127 days to the delight of many.
